A very rare and hard-to-find heirloom variety of Red Rubine Sprouts or Red Ball Sprouts have a really nice, sweet flavour when grown in cool weather and are extremely frost hardy.
 
This plant produces a bountiful harvest of reddish-purple sprouts in the late autumnal months that deepen in colour with the cold, a real gourmet treat with a Sunday Roast.
