• Red Russian borecole kale originally came from Siberia  and is a very hardy winter  variety, but is one of the tenderest of all kales and sweeter than  most traditional varieties.


    Its jam - packed with beneficial nutrients and  is often dubbed  a super food. Sweet and tender to eat!


    Attractive to the plate and attractive in the garden, has lightly crinkled , frilly, slate green, oak like leaves with an unusual deep purple venation, a clouring that intensifies as winter approaches. 


    It has an excellent, very tender texture and gourmet flavour, which gets even better after a frost.Useful in salads as well.
