Platinum Jubilee Bank holiday Update

Updated: Jun 2, 2022

I just cannot believe how spring has turned into early summer so quick.

April and May are now distant memories . The field grown brassicas plants are now ready to be offered for sale.

We have a range of traditional heirloom heritage varieties which I have been growing ever since I started my growing career in 1986.

My dad before me in his horticultral time grew the very same types during the 50s, 60s,70s and 80s and even my grandad grew purple sprouting, curly kale, ormskirk savoy, wheelers spring cabbage etc etc during the depression years of the 1930s.

Persian Carpet wallflowers are also ready to go , also some tray grown Sweet William plants.

Portbella leek transplants are looking quite respectable and are a nice quality for planting.

We also have strawberry, onion, asparagus, chard, mint, lettuce, spring onion, carrot, parsnip, chives, rhubarb, oriental leaves, lupin , amaranth, cardoon, spinach ,melon , parsley , dill, poppy, cucumber, marigold pot, alpine straws etc in starter plant format while stocks last.

Wood pigeons , rabbits, slugs, caterpillars, cabbage white butterflies, deer, snails etc are a pain in the garden and a headache to the gardener and grower.

We stock a range of products to combat the problems they cause, such as nets, traps and deterrents like Grazers a natural spray on pigeon, rabbit , snail and deer control. No chemicals involved.

As always I would like to thank all customers past and present for your custom and support of our small businesses in these unpredictable times. Many thanks Andrew and also Helen and Tess from the packing shed.
