Team Cabbage

Having a little rest on the hottest day of the year in May.

Andrew in charge of pulling and preparation.

Lowenna , packing and distribution.

Helen, posting , paperwork and human resources.

Also Tess and Roo the Border Collies.

It's looking like owing to this unusual bout of hot weather and prolonged dry spell the field grown brassica won't be ready till well into June, unless we get a bit of rain.

Growing conditions have been very difficult here in SE Cornwall 20 miles from Plymouth.

Very cold by night on some occasions and a couple of nights ago quite a hard frost which did a fair bit of damage to the unprotected plants .
