Our most popular variety is the Purple Sprouting Broccoli which produce a beautiful purple type of broccoli. Each heritage variety serves a different purpose for summer, autumn, winter or spring harvesting. Bushy plants produce large, tasty purple spears over a long picking period.
 
Broccoli quickly goes from a purple spear to a flower head. If you have too many to use, cut and freeze for winter use.
 
Pick regularly when the spears are well formed but before they open. Take the central spear first to encourage a lot of side shoots.
 
Harvest: Early - March to May , Late - November to February, Mid - February to November (All depending on sowing time).
