We raise traditional field grown, bare rooted
 Brassica vegetable plants.

  Established in 1924, we specialise in growing old fashioned traditional and heritage varieties in the
 time honoured way which will crop over a longer 
  period than modern  varieties.

 Field grown plants have a more fibrous root system
 than plug plants and are bigger to withstand rabbits
 or pigeons.

 Plants are hardier - less soft than greenhouse grown
 plants and they are already accustomed to the weather.
 Roots are not root bound by plastic containers and no
 greenhouse or plastic is needed or used in the production
   process.

 Bare root transplants are cheaper to buy than plugs i.e.
    18  plants cost £4.45 

 We also sell crop protection products and garden related
      sundries.
